Emelye has a classical music background, having studied for a degree in music at the University of Oxford, where she was also a choral scholar. Since graduating in 2019, Emelye has worked in music radio at BBC Radio 1 and 2, and has assisted a number of composers and music-editors in film and TV, including Emmy-winning composer Nainita Desai.

Recently, Emelye has acted as music editor on the Channel 4 series A Woman Of Substance, starring Brenda Blethyn, as well as the feature documentary Chris Hemsworth: A Road Trip To Remember. Other upcoming credits in film and TV include series 2 of Disney's Rivals, and Amazon film Your Fault: London. Notable past credits include feature film The Salt Path, National Geographic series Secrets Of The Penguins and The Wild Ones, and Boyzone: No Matter What for Sky.

Emelye is an accomplished singer and pianist, and also plays violin and bass guitar. Aside from her film and TV work, Emelye continues to produce and edit audio content for the BBC and independent podcasts, recently producing a 4-part docuseries The Women Who Rock for BBC Radio 2.
